Lead Educator

Edith grew up in El Salvador and has lived in the United States for 28 years. Her life long passion is enhancing children's learning through fun and meaningful experiences. Edith has worked in child ministries and coordinated kids programs for years. This is her fifth year teaching at LESM. Edith completed her education at South Piedmont Communty College. She enjoys reading, travel and time with her husband and two daughters.


Julie Estrada


Julie has served as a substitute Spanish teacher, childcare worker and room parent for several schools and organizations over the years. She received her Associate's Degree from Colegio Ciencias Comerciales, a  college in Guatemala. Her true passion is working with children!

Leasette holds a BA from the College of Charleston in Latin American and Caribbean Studies and Spanish. She grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and her family is from Jalisco, Mexico. Having visited many Latin American countries, she enjoys reading and learning about Latin American politics, society and culture. Leasette is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through her work. She is excited to begin her career within a school that caters to the needs of Spanish-speaking students! 



Executive Director

Jama holds an MBA from King University. She comes to LESM with experience as manager, paralegal and educator. She enjoys writing and performing spoken word poetry.
